Nominating Committee
Each year the NOCA President appoints volunteers to our membership committees to guide the development of our organization. Our member's support is crucial to our continued success and we appreciate our volunteer’s interest and willingness to serve NOCA in this capacity.
General Committee Information:
The Nominating Committee is composed of the Immediate Past President, an NCCA Commissioner, two elected representatives and an appointed representative, each who serve a one year term. The Committee chair is the Immediate Past President, who runs the meeting and serves as Board Liaison to relays information to and from the Board of Directors. The Committee meets via conference call and calls are typically held every other month.
Charges for 2007:
- Identify vacancies on the NOCA Board, NCCA, and Nominating Committee
- Review all responses to Call for Leadership Nominations and recruit additional candidates if needed; consider diversity including international members.
- Interview potential candidates
- Develop slates of qualified candidates for each type of vacancy noted above and work with NOCA staff to send to eligible voters
- Conduct officer and commissioner elections in compliance with applicable Bylaws, policies and procedures
- Chair to announce results of election(s) at the NOCA Annual Business Meeting
- Draft policies and procedures related to Nominating Committee as assigned by Board
- Provide written report to the NOCA Board at least three times annually (to be received by NOCA staff in advance of the April, August, and/or November 2007 NOCA Board meetings)
